Welcome to Year 6!
Year 6 is a very special year as children begin their final chapter of primary school. It is a year full of opportunities to grow in confidence, become more independent and take pride in everything they have achieved during their time at primary school.
Throughout the year, we will continue to build on the knowledge and skills children have developed across the curriculum, helping them to deepen their understanding, challenge themselves and become confident learners. There will be plenty of hard work along the way, but also lots of exciting learning, memorable experiences and opportunities to celebrate success.
An important part of Year 6 is preparing children for the move to secondary school. We will support them to develop the independence, resilience and organisation they will need for the next stage of their education, while making sure they continue to feel happy, supported and confident in school.
Year 6 is also a year to make lasting memories. From taking on additional responsibilities and leadership roles to special events and end-of-year celebrations, we want every child to look back on their final year of primary school with a real sense of pride.
