Welcome to Year 3!
A very warm welcome to Year 3! Year 3 is a particularly important year in a child's primary school journey as it marks the transition from Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2. During this exciting time, children continue to grow in confidence, independence and responsibility while developing the key skills that will support them throughout the rest of their education.
Throughout the year, we will work hard to strengthen our reading, writing and mathematical understanding, whilst encouraging children to become curious, resilient and independent learners.
Children will have opportunities to explore a wide range of engaging topics and experiences across the curriculum. In Geography, we will develop our understanding of the United Kingdom and bring our learning to life through an exciting visit to London. In History, we will discover the fascinating world of the Ancient Greeks, while in science, we will investigate forces and magnets through practical, hands on enquiries. Across all subjects, we aim to provide meaningful learning experiences that inspire children to ask questions, think deeply and achieve their very best.
