A very warm welcome to Reception! At Hunningley we are delighted to begin this exciting journey with you and your child. Reception is a very special year filled with fun, friendship, exploration and discovery. We provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels happy, safe and confident to learn.
Through a balance of play, adult-led activities and child-initiated learning, we encourage children to develop their independence, curiosity and confidence. From learning our first sounds and numbers to creating, investigating, imagining and making new friends, every day brings a new opportunity to learn and grow.
We believe that children learn best when they are happy, engaged and encouraged to have a go. We celebrate every achievement, big or small, and support each child to develop at their own pace.
