Your child’s Reception year is a vital stage in their development. It allows the children to continue to develop the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their Nursery journey, whilst also equipping them with the tools to become independent learners in readiness for Year 1.
At Hunningley, we’re proud to offer an engaging and enriched curriculum which allows all children to thrive in the seven areas of the Early Years Curriculum. Our learning takes place in a warm and welcoming environment, where children can make exceptional progress, both academically and as an individual member of our Hunningley community.

Each Friday, children will receive their homework in paper form. This can be completed in their homework books or you may wish to take photos to send to the class email address: reception@hunningley.orgYou will also be regularly provided with QR codes which you can scan in order for your child to access Read, Write, Inc phonics videos in order to consolidate their learning.Please return book bags on Thursday and Friday, so that homework can be checked and reading books can be changed.
