Road safety

Road safety

This week in nursery we enjoyed a visit from Miss Reed the lollipop lady.  She talked to the children about being safe when we cross the road.  The children were interested in her bright outfit and wondered what she did with her tall stick!  We sounded out the letters on the sign and realised it said 'stop'!

Our story of the week was Owl Babies.  The children loved using the owl props to tell the story and they cuddled Sarah, Percy and Bill (the baby owls) to help them feel better when they were scared, how lovely!

Please remember our woodland learning starts on Tuesday so please bring waterproofs and wellies.  We will be looking for some autumn treasures to explore and will be learning our woodland rules.  I'm so excited to go over to the woods, it's an experience we all look forward to.

Please remember your home learning bags on Monday.  We are also starting our first group of focus children.  When it's your child's turn they will receive a letter with their name on and I will give you a full explanation as to how this works!

I can't wait for another exciting week in nursery!
