Bones and Beanstalks!

Bones and Beanstalks!

Bones and Beanstalks!

Our science focus this week has been on learning all about skeletons. We have learnt about vertebrates and invertebrates, edoskeletons (under the skin) exoskeletons (on the outside of an animal's body) and hydrostatic skeletons (like jellyfish and slugs -no bones). We learnt some of the names of our bones by listening to a song called 'Name Those Bones':

We have also been very hard at work writing our stories based on the traditional of 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. In our stories, we changed the character, setting and some of the details, to make it our own. Some of our characters ended up in Book-land, outer space or Candyland instead of meeting a giant in a castle!
