Swirls and twirls.

We’ve been thinking lots this week about movement in many different ways. We started by talking about fairground rides and the different movements they make. The children discussed how some rides went up and down, side to side and others spun around.

In our creative area we went on to make swirly pictures using a spinning wheel and different coloured paint which the children found fascinating.

In our whole class movement session, which is fantastically delivered by Mrs Lawther, we moved like Dogems, swirling and turning to ensure we didn’t bump and were negotiating space.

In the woodland some children decided to explore movement even further – thinking of ways to move up and down or to swirl around, it lead to lots of learning as well as been so much fun it made us giggle a lot!
