Spring half-term one.

Key stage one children have learned about the features of the human face while drawing portraits of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole using shading pencils and pen.  They have focused on tonal shading and line drawing.

Lower key stage 2 children have enjoyed looking at African masks using a line of symmetry to aid accuracy when drawing.  They have also tried very hard to create different tones with shading pencils.

Upper key stage 2 children are continuing to explore numerous art techniques for creating Stone age imagery, including painting on stone and sandpaper.  Keep looking to see some of their exciting images next half-term.
