Fireworks, Halloween and Remembrance

This week we have been collecting ambitious vocabulary from our experiences at Halloween and bonfire night. We have learnt about onomatopoeia, alliteration and similes, to create concrete poems -ask your children all about it! We drafted our poems today, and will be presenting them next week.
In our thinking and learning about Remembrance Day, we read some poetry and will be using more of this in our guided reading next week.
Auditions for our Christmas show have also brought much excitement. The main parts are now cast! How exciting! Scripts and song sheets will be coming home next week.
Please could I ask all families who have not returned consent slips for our upcoming visit to York Museum, to return them as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Mrs Clarke
